Senior Benefits Care Finder exists because the programs that matter most to older Americans — Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, VA benefits, long-term care — are some of the hardest things to read about online. We are a small, independent publisher of educational guides about senior benefits and care. We are not a government agency, a licensed insurance agency, a law firm, a financial planning firm, a medical practice, or an enrollment service. One person publishes here. Paul researches, writes, and maintains the guides. The workflow is simple: start with primary sources (CMS, SSA, VA, state Medicaid agencies, the Genworth Cost of Care Survey, BLS), write the plain-English version with dated dollar figures, use AI tools to help draft and cross-check across states, and review every page before it goes live. Every claim that matters links back to the official source so readers can verify.

From the Founder

I started this site because my own family needed it. When relatives were trying to sort out Medicare, Medicaid for a parent, and a VA pension for a surviving spouse, the internet was full of glossy pages that wanted a phone number before they'd answer a question. I wrote up what I learned in plain language, and other people kept asking for the notes.

I'm not a licensed agent or attorney. What I can do is read the source material carefully, write it up honestly, link back to the original, and keep it current. If something is wrong, tell me and I'll fix it.
